Helen “Polly” H. Glyer, 1948. Professor of Recreation and Leisure Studies. BS (1940) State University of Iowa; M.Ed. (1943) University of Minnesota. Glyer’s Recreation Administration worked in San Francisco’s Haight Ashbury neighborhood in 1961 to complete a long-range plan (20 years) consulting with a wide-range of surveying to develop recreational planning for facilities and programs. Retired in 1978. Married to Richard T. Glyer.
