Alexander Nepote: Professor of Art

Alexander Nepote. 1950. Professor of Art. BA (1939) California College of Arts and Crafts; MA (1942) Mills College. Retired in 1977. Nepote painted in watercolor and oil, and his work was exhibited at the New York Metropolitan Museum, Denver Museum, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Oakland Art Museum. Died in March 1986. Nepote explains that San Francisco State offers instruction in photography, design, silk screening, life drawing, sculpture, and ceramics. Day observes, “no limits on student imaginations here.”
