Robert Engle McBride. 1953. Professor of Recreation and Leisure Studies. BA (1948) Ohio Wesleyan University; MA (1949), Ed.D. (1951) Columbia University. McBride and Special Education Professor Jerome Rothstein coordinated the first recreational workshop for neurodivergent individuals held in California March 12-14, 1963. McBride operated a children’s camp and ranch in the Napa Valley. Retired in 1980.
