Bernice Biggs. 1950. Professor of English. BS (1944) University of Nebraska; MA and Ph.D. (1948) University of Denver. Biggs directed the Reading and Writing Lab at SF State and supported tutor training in literacy. Biggs was active in the Academic Senate, the faculty union and she was an educational lobbyist.
