Frederic W. Terrien. 1953. Professor of Sociology; Coordinator of Faculty Research. BA (1937) Stanford University; MA (1947), Ph.D. (1950) Yale University. Terrien was an expert in industrial sociology. Terrien was the first Coordinator of Faculty Research (1960-1963); founder and staff member for the Institute for Social Science Research (1962-1968); Chair of the Frederic Burk Foundation (1966-1968); and two terms as Chair of the Academic Senate (1970-1971). Retired in 1983. Died in 1989.
