Robert J. Stollberg. 1949. Professor of Physics; Acting Dean of the School of Science. Chair of Physical Sciences and Associate Dean of Natural Sciences. BS (1935), B.Ed. (1936) University of Toledo; Ed.D. (1947) Teachers College Columbia University. Stollberg specialized in physics, electronics, physical sciences, and teacher preparation for science teachers who authored several textbooks for use in elementary and secondary schools. He served as president of the National Science Teachers Association in 1955-1956. Stollberg developed and starred in four instructional films for the KQED television series Space Science. Stollberg was an internationally known physics teacher who travelled in India and East Africa as a consultant for the National Science Foundation.
