Gators Running Play Near Midfield, Cox Stadium, 1967

San Francisco State College’s number 44 in a dark jersey moves upfield with the ball during a 1967 game at Cox Stadium. A referee keeps close watch on the play as the Gator pushes forward across the worn turf. In the background, opponents in white uniforms—including numbers 84, 77, 50, 15, 53, 12, 61, and 10—stand along the sideline, framed by mostly empty bleachers and a line of eucalyptus trees. The image captures a clean, focused moment of offensive motion on the Gators’ home field.
