Pass Defense at Cox Stadium, 1967

San Francisco State College’s number 5 leaps to contest a pass against an opposing receiver, number 22, during a 1967 football game at Cox Stadium. Both players rise into the air as the ball arcs just beyond their reach, framed by the concrete bleachers and hillside eucalyptus trees in the background. Additional players in white uniforms, including numbers 32, 42, 53, and 60, line the sideline behind the play. The image captures the intensity and split-second timing of mid-field competition in Gator football.
