Cheerleader in Motion, Cox Stadium, 1967

About This Item

A San Francisco State College cheerleader performs on the field during a 1967 football game at Cox Stadium. Her skirt flares as she turns, pom-poms raised mid-routine, with sunlight casting sharp shadows on the worn turf. Sparse spectators watch from the bleachers behind her, framed by the steep hillside and eucalyptus trees above the stadium. The image captures a lively moment of campus spirit and mid-century collegiate atmosphere.
