Gators Running Back Near the Goalpost, Cox Stadium, 1967

About This Item

San Francisco State College’s number 35 charges ahead with the football during a 1967 game at Cox Stadium. Wearing a dark jersey, he tucks the ball securely under one arm as he cuts across the field near the goalpost. Behind him, a fallen Gator teammate and an opposing player in a white uniform marked 82 lie on the turf. The image captures the strength and motion of an open-field run under the bright autumn light of the San Francisco home field.
