Auto Italiana Commercial "Fiat 850 Racer"

In the late 1960s and early 1970s, Auto Italiana was a San Francisco dealership that sold Fiats and often advertised used European cars for sale.

This radio commercial is for a rare car: the 1970 Fiat 850 Racer. Over a two-year production run, only 4,000 of this variant of Fiat's 850 model were built.

This commercial was found on an audiotape reel labeled "Commercial Master #35 4/9/70 to 4/23/70" from KSAN-FM (the legendary "Jive 95" freeform rock station). It is an example of a commercial produced specifically by the station for the client and is notable for the fact that the car is misidentified as the "Fiat 850 Sport Racer" (there was no such model).
