Formed by the merger of Roos Brothers with the Robert Atkins Company in 1957, Roos-Atkins became a major West Coast clothing retailer through the 1960s and 1970s. A 1967 merger with conglomerate Genesco would eventually lead to the closure of all Roos-Atkins stores by the early 1990s.
