Story: “The Porn Collection” is a series of collages of various genders and sexualities in graphic porn scenes and/or boudoir looks. This collage was one of the “gay male” pieces created in response and in protest of then-Mayor of New York Rudy Guiliani’s rapid gentrification of the city, which included the shuttering of sex shops all along 42nd Street. Mortezaie collected porn images, magazines, etc. from these businesses to create each collage.
