Around the time of this collection’s creation, Michael and Hushi’s designs had been featured in and on some of the most prestigious beacons of fashion and fashion writing— i.e. Vogue, Linda Evangelista, but the duo didn’t even have the money needed to purchase the magazines they were featured in. This collection, and particularly its title, reflect on that dissonance and marginalization.
