Story: The look worn by the model pictured is the (in)famous top and breeches set inspired by celebrity, fast fashion, consumerism, and fast food, as seen through the likeness to McDonald’s yellow and red imagery for spokesperson Ronald McDonald. This photo, as well as the Icons Collection as a whole, really emphasized the sort of American, Las Vegas, desert punk upbringing that Michael Sears had. Previous collections for the duo’s line clearly emphasized Mortezaie’s history and heritage, but until Icons they had not had the chance to give Sears his moment in focus.
