- Story
- This show was originally slated to happen in September 2001, as fashion houses typically present their upcoming seasonal collections approximately six months in advance of their release, but due to the events of September 11th in New York City, the show was abruptly cancelled. It was assumed that because the designs relied heavily on West Asian/Middle Eastern styles, particularly the Qajar period of Iran, the show would face too much backlash and had to be curtailed. However, true to their rebellious natures, Sears and Mortazaie rescheduled the show for just a month later, in October 2001.
