Story
This is an episodic, absurd, feminist, satire about how a patriarchal system, specifically an Iranian one, functions and reproduces itself. The play concerns a woman whose parents have named her “Unwanted.” After the birth of the seventh girl, the mother considered herself a failure for not having any boys. The play is inspired by Federico Fellini, the great Italian auteur, and uses music and light to portray a society full of double standards and contradictions.
