The Role and Lessons of SDS Part 1

About This Item

SDS was the largest mass militant student organization in the history of the United States. In San Francisco, it mobilized against the war in Vietnam during Stop The Draft Week, supported striking Bay Area oil workers, and mobilized to build support for the strike at San Francisco State College. Many of its members were arrested and jailed during the strike. This forum will look at the role of SDS at San Francisco State, how they were involved in the strike and the lessons learned for today. There will also be a display from the strike. http://ethnicstudies.sfsu.edu
