KPFA radio aired this recording with commentary by Frank V. de Bellis on March 12, 1961 for his radio show “Music of the Italian Masters.” The commentary describes the influence of Baroque composers Benedetto Marchello (1686-1739) and Antonio Lotti (1667-1740) on the career of Galuppi who was part of the eighteenth century “galant” movement in music. Milano Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Ennio Gerelli (1907-1970) performs “Concerto a Quattro, no. 6 in B Flat” by Baldessare Galuppi (1706-1785).
