About this collection

The Global Museum at SF State is a place in which to appreciate the power of diverse communities in a globally connected world. Located in the Fine Arts Building, the Global Museum’s exhibition gallery showcases rotating annual exhibitions developed by Museum Studies students and faculty. Collections range from ancient to contemporary and include archaeological and cultural material from ancient Egypt, Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. The Global Museum serves as a teaching lab for the Museum Studies program, an academic resource for the university, and a public space for the greater Bay Area community.
