The Fantastic Fair

This film tells the story of the California Midwinter International Exposition of 1894 in Golden Gate Park.  It was the first Worlds Fair held West of the Mississippi.  The film highlights the political and economic conditions, which led to the fair’s being held as well as the construction of the fair and the physical, and entertainment layout of the fair itself.  It was aired on PBS.
