711 Scott Street abuts the tree to its right; addresses ascend from there to 717. The building at 711 was originally a flat roof; after a fire and they added a peaked roof to match the others. At right, "twins": 715 and 717 are the "Halsted Houses," constructed 1898, and residences of founders of Halsted and Company. Halsted and Company is a major funeral company of San Francisco. Style is colonial revival.
