Sanborn Map - Pierce, McAllister, Steiner, and Fulton Streets

The street at the top is Pierce Street, on the right is McAllister Street, on the bottom is Steiner Street, and on the left is Fulton Street. Alamo Square is on the other side of Fulton Street. Most of the buildings in 1899 have been demolished, but there are three buildings that remain. Notice the size of the lots on McAllister and Pierce Street; apparently the mansions on the bottom two lots on the McAllister side have been demolished and are awaiting subdivision and redevelopment. The corner or Pierce and McAllister Street is now occupied by the Third Baptist Church; the footprint shown here is not of the church, but of the mansion torn down to build it.
