Sanborn Map - Steiner, McAllister, Pierce, Golden Gate Avenue
About This Item
The top of the map is Steiner Street, the right side is McAllister Street, the bottom is Pierce Street, and the left is Golden Gate Avenue. Note the size of the lots; they were once occupied by mansions. The lot at the corner of Steiner Street and McAlllister Street was occupied by a single mansion that was moved to Steiner Street; notice the arrow. The corner of Steiner Street and Golden Gate Avenue was a complex called the Seattle Block, one of the most elaborate Victorian developments in the area. The buildings at the corner of Golden Gate Avenue and Pierce Street have been torn down and are colored yellow.
