View south at the waterfront and Russian Hill - 1950

About This Item

To the left of the Ghirardelli sign is the Ghirardelli tower. It was still a chocolate factory at this time. The long industrial building to the right of the sign was the Fontana factory, later replaced by the Fontana Towers (residential). The tall buildings are all residential buildings on Russian Hill.
