Holly Park, looking east - 1975

Note College Hill Reservoir in the lower left corner. The street to its right is Appleton Avenue, which runs from Mission Street to Holly Park. The complex next to it is Holly Courts, public housing. In the next block, adjacent to Holly Park, is the old Junipero Serra Elementary School, which would later be torn down. The last street that we can see on the left that changes directions is Cortland Avenue. Near the end of the street on the southside, with the red roof, is the Bernal Library, and beyond it is St. Kevin's Catholic Church. Beyond St. Kevin's is a much smaller church which was first built as a Swedish Lutheran Church.
