Current zoning map of San Francisco - 1973, Bernal Heights focus

About This Item

Copied from map by the Department of City Planning. The white area, which is the dominant color in most of Bernal Heights, is R-1 residential. The areas along Mission Street (runs top-to-bottom top half of map) and Holly Park (lower right) are red, or R-2, as is the core of Precita Valley and the north side of Peralta Avenue. Green areas are recreational park lands, and the red, which goes in a string along Mission Street to the west, and the flatter parts of Cortland, are commercial. The areas to the east (Bernal Heights) are blue/industrial. West of St. Mary's Park (middle left) is R-1D (single family detached).
