The Good Life Grocery at 448 Cortland Avenue - 2009
About This Item
Good Life Grocery began on Potrero Hill and then expanded here; the Bernal branch is now the larger of the two. This is the main grocery store for the Bernal Heights area on Cortland Avenue. Safeway's business models used to be many small stores but later changed to fewer larger stores that people would have to drive to. It is possible that this was an old Safeway. Good Life has a small parking lot across the street for their customers.
