Looking south at Franconia Street from near 390 Franconia Street - 1975
About This Item
Bayshore Boulevard is prominent on the middle-left side of the slide, and Goodman Lumber is clearly visible. Note also the intersection of Interstate 280 and Highway 101, and the maze of connections. On the horizon on the left is Candlestick Hill; the gap is where the Highway 101 runs through. On the right is McLaren Ridge, and in the distance is San Bruno Mountain. The large horizontal building on the horizon is a high school. At this point in the site's history, there appears to be no new construction yet. See slides from 1973, 1976, 1978, 1980, and 1983 for comparisons.
