Jim Sherman putting up the Christmas decorations at 44 Peralta Avenue. The immediate view is the Mission District. The first mass of high-rises on the horizon is associated with Cathedral Hill. Note the infamous shadow on the St. Mary's Cathedral spire. Also visible is Lafayette Park and high-rises associated with the Civic Center, including the AAA annex, Bank of America credit card building, Fox Plaza, and the Federal Building. The next group of high-rises are hotels in Union Square area. At far right are the San Francisco General Hospital and Potrero Hill.
