About This Item

In order from nearest to farthest, the foreground shows some of the buildings associated with the San Francisco General Hospital, a bit of Army/Cesar Chavez Street, the "mesa" north of Peralta Avenue, then the first row of flat-roofed houses on the north side of Peralta Avenue. Also shown is the north side of that block, which are all Queen Anne cottages. Beyond that are views of University Mound, a new high school and trees associated with McLaren Park, and then San Bruno Mountain. Due to the new General Hospital, the view of McKinley Park from Peralta Avenue no longer exists.
