Bernal Heights Rolph Playground - 1976

The park near the center of the photo is Rolph Playground; it's left side is Army/Cesar Chavez Street and its bottom side is Potrero Avenue. Northeastern Bernal Heights is in the left portion of the slide. The main street that is parallel to Army/Cesar Chavez Street is Peralta Avenue. The street on the bottom left parallel to the bottom of the photo is Holladay Avenue. There is another green patch to the left and a little above Rolph Playground, that is proposed for Redevelopment; the streets that surround this block are Army/Cesar Chavez Street, Hampshire Street, Peralta Avenue, and York Street. The streets running at an angle from the left to the right will be 25th Street that ends with Potrero Avenue, then 26th Street, then Army/Cesar Chavez Street. The streets starting with the upper side of Rolph Playground are Hampshire Street, York Street, and Bryant Street. There is a school on Bryant Street called Sunshine Elementary School.
