South on Potrero Avenue at 25th Street - 1912
About This Item
The houses seen on the ridge are on the south of the first block of Peralta Avenue; note that there are no houses on the north side at this time. The home of Professor Max Kirkeberg, built in 1931, was the first home built on the north side. The tracks shown here are for the streetcar that ran on Potrero Avenue. It seems that the building on the left is a boarding house with a bar. Compare with related slides.
