Potrero Avenue from 44 Peralta Avenue - 1971
About This Item
To the right are the brick buildings associated with Borden's Dairy. The Good Samaritan Episcopal Church is the dark shingled building in the center. Looking down Potrero Avenue, the low section of the Hilton Hotel is visible, and the high-rises above it are the Mark Hopkins Hotel on Nob Hill and the Fairmont Hotel on the right. To the left, the Hilton Tower seems to be under construction. Just to the left of the Hilton Tower is a portion of Grace Cathedral, and to its left are high-rises upon both Nob and Russian Hill. In the middle of the horizon, above the Good Samaritan Episcopal Church is 100 McAllister Street, and to the far left is a portion of the Federal Building. Going back to the right, to the left of 100 McAllister Street is a brewery (white building).
