Church at the southwest corner of Danvers Street - 2011
About This Item
For much of the 1970's through the 1990s, this was the site of a predominantly gay synagogue. They called their synagogue Congregation She'ar Zahar. The congregation grew and grew, and in 1998 they bought the Comesky-Roche funeral home at 16th Street and Dolores Street and converted it into their new home.
