Looking northeast from Sanchez Street and 21st Street - 1980
About This Item
On the left horizon is a hazy Angel Island. The hill with trees would be Lafayette Park. Next is a cluster of high rises associated with Western Addition Redevelopment, phase 1. In the middle sits St. Mary's Cathedral and below it a wide, low, white building with black vertical windows, which is the U.S. Mint. To its left, and a little closer to the camera, is Safeway. To its left is St. Francis Lutheran Church. On the horizon are several residential high-rises on Russian Hill.
