In 1986, the building had a lot of non-profits: 1. The Woman's Institute for Mental Health 2. Legal Assistance to the elderly 3. Women's Issues Coalition 4. Wages for Housework Campaign 5. American Indian Film Festival 6. Renaissance Experience Plus 7. The San Francisco AIDS Foundation 8. The AIDS Health Project. In 1991, the following were also found here: 1. Haight-Ashbury Switchboard 2. Friendship House (formally located on the 800 block of Steiner Street at Alamo Square) 3. American Indian AIDS Institute. By 1991, Gold's Gym was now on the street level, and in 2005 it was called the Valencia Street Muscle and Fitness Center.
