Good Vibrations at 603 Valencia Street - 2006
About This Item
Good Vibrations began as a workers' co-op (mostly women) on Guerrero Street in 1977. They wanted a new kind of sex shop without "the raincoat mentality." The store moved to 1210 Valencia Street in 1989, then here to 603 Valencia Street. In 2009, Bronstein writes that Good Vibrations was forced to sell to David Sturman and Joel Kamisky, who were big in the X-rated community. Good Vibrations can also be found at 1620 Polk Street.
