Community Thrift at the northeast corner of Sycamore Street and Valencia Street - 2012
About This Item
Community Thrift began around 1982 in an ordinary residential garage. The business then took over this building and later the building to its north. People donate and buy; some 200 non-profits share in the profits from the sales. Compare with related slides. Note that Sycamore Street is also getting murals. New lights also came with the sidewalk widening, tree planting, and bicycle racks.
