Northwest corner of Valencia Street and 24th Street - 1988

About This Item

Gas stations came in large numbers after WWII, with the explosion in the number of cars, but since the 1970s, many gas stations have closed. San Francisco is expensive and gas stations have huge foot prints. This is the last gas station on this street. Compare with next slide from 2012.
