About This Item

On March 18th, 2008, a four alarm fire broke out at the rear of 1470 Valencia Street. It burned for two hours and was fought by 130 firefighters. It spread south to the 24-unit apartment building (visibly being renovated in next slide). Ultimately, the entire block was evacuated, including the Dovre Club, full of St. Patrick's Day celebrants.
