About This Item
Panorama 3 of 4. The trees in the middle are in Franklin Square and at the bottom left is the 101 Freeway. On the horizon is Mt. Tam and the two towers of the Golden Gate Bridge. In the cluster of high rises near the middle is the white AAA annex on Van Ness Avenue. The building next to it, under construction, will be the Bank of America credit card building on Market Street, and to its right, the tall building is the Fox Plaza. The green on the right is in Lafayette Park and the big building on its right is the Federal Building on Golden Gate Avenue. Finally, near the right margins, is the tower of 100 McAllister at McAllister Street and Leavenworth Street. At the upper left is a bit of the Central Freeway making a curve, and just below it, the white building with the tower is a building at Alabama Street and 17th Street. Above it is a red building with black windows, which is the office building on 15th Street and Folsom Street. Above Franklin Square is the Hamm's Brewery building with its tower, but the beer stein is no longer there.
