Yosemite - Glacial Striations
Image of glacial striations cut into bedrock in Yosemite. Glacial striations, or glacial grooves, are caused by glaciers moving over the bedrock. Rock material is embedded into the glaciers as they move, and it cuts into bedrock as it flows over it.
