Moraines - Panum Crater

About This Item

Photo of moraines located at the Panum Crater east of the Sierra Nevada mountains. A large volcanic eruption blew the top off the peak and created the crater. Glacial moraines are formed when glaciers pick up till, or rock material, and it is redeposited in large mounds.
