Photo of a glacial melt stream. Glacial melt is sometimes called glacial milk when glacial erosion or grinding occurrs on bedrock and creates silt-sized particles, or rock/glacial flour, that is then suspended in the glacial meltwater creating a cloudy or "milky" appearance.
