The sound distortion toward the end of the recording, as far as we can tell, is not intentional, but due to "bleed through" of another track on the master-tape.  We will see what we can do to address this.  You're right, it does add a curious effect, to have another Allen speaking those lines in accidental counterpoint.  Thank you for pointing this out.

I'm wondering whether the sound distortion and echo in the second half are a technical problem or done on purpose for effect. It would seem with Kaddish the "effect" works well, while earlier in the reading it sounds more like a technical problem with the recording etc.
