Luis Cernuda: December 6, 1961

The Poetry Center presents Spanish poet Luis Cernuda reading a selection of his poems in the original Spanish; a speaker follows each poem with an English translation. Cernuda also discusses the literary and social influences that produced each poem, such as Surrealism, the Spanish Civil War, and his exile from Spain. Note: from August 1961-June 1962, Cernuda was giving courses at San Francisco State College.
