George Oppen: February 21, 1968
The Poetry Center presents George Oppen reading two major sequences from his 1968 book Of Being Numerous, for which he would receive the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1969. The recording has no introduction. It picks up with Oppen reading from the middle of the poem "Route." Note: Occasionally throughout the recording, the audio becomes inaudible for a word or two, but most words can be heard through close listening and adjusting the volume.
