Steve Dickison and Samantha Giles welcome the audience. Matvei Yankelevich and Jen Hofer, co-editors of the Senal series, discuss the project and their goals to introduce new translations of Latin American poets. Yankelevich introduces Stalina Emmanuella Villarreal, who reads her translations of riddles by Sor Juana Ines de la Cruz, from Enigmas. Luis Felipe Fabre and John Pluecker read from Sor Juana y otros monstruos (Sor Juana & Other Monsters) in Spanish and English, respectively. Pablo Katchadjian and Rebekah Smith read from el cam del alch (the rou of alch), co-translated by Smith and Victoria Coccaro, also present. Florencia Castellano and Alexis Almeida read "Propiedad vigilada" (Monitored Property), "Manteniendonos calms en el campo de batalla" (Keeping Ourselves Calm on the Battlefield), "Manteniendonos alertas en el campo de batalla" (Keeping Ourselves Alert on the Battlefield), "Despues del engano el tornado" (After the Hoax the Tornado), and "Asi operan los cowboys" (How the Cowboys Operate) from Propiedades vigiladas (Monitored Properties).

Poets and translators Stalina Emmanuella Villarreal, Luis Felipe Fabre, John Pluecker, Pablo Katchadjian, Rebekah Smith, Victoria Coccaro, Florencia Castellano, and Alexis Almeida take questions from the audience. They discuss the challenges that come with translating poetry, the importance of rhythm and tone, self-publishing, and the translator-poet relationship.
