Steve Dickison introduces Robert Adamson. Adamson reads "The Confessions After St. Augustine," "Listening to Cuckoos," "Garden Poem," "The Gathering Light," "Brooklyn on Ashburton River," "Swimming Out With Emmylou Harris," "Spinoza," "The Divine Dark, A Poem Without Birds," "Preliminary Sketch Part II," "On Not Seeing Paul Cezanne," "Netmakers," "I Spent My 21st in Long Bay Penitentiary," "The Coriander Fields of Long Bay Penitentiary," "A Proper Burial," "Thinking of Eurydice at Midnight," "Red Tail Black Cockatoos," "I Was in a Printing House From Hell," "On the First Floor," "The Ballad of the Word Trauma," from Net Needle and The Goldfinches of Baghdad. He then remarks on his influences, process, and future travels.

Robert Adamson takes questions from the audience, and speaks to his incarceration as a teenager and unexpected discovery of poetry while in prison, through the medium of the prison radio playing Bob Dylan, which spurred him to follow trails into other writings and poetry.
